we just got back from a big road trip that took us through kansas, colorado, wyoming & montana. we got lots of cool stuff - so much that we ran out of room and have to go back and pick the rest up. my favorites so far - the crusty old scissor mirror & the set of magnetic letters (used back in the day to shoot film titles).

our next pop-up shop in vancouver is coming soon!
should be happening within the next 2 months or so....more details to come soon.

jill & jarrod are two of our favorite customers. we hung some old rusty bed springs on the wall during our july pop-up shop. jarrod came in a few minutes later & instantly decided it would make a great book shelf. we didn't believe him...he invited us to check out their place later that night & we were amazed. you should see the rest of their house - it's insane....thanks for the drinks guys!

it's an engraving from 1824 and reads "the american black elk". what a strange face, i love it. we just had it framed in an old wood frame.

thanks so much to everyone who stopped by our temporary shop in gastown. we met so many interesting people & will miss the sense of community that came with having that space for 5 weeks.

we have some picking trips planned over the next month or so & we hope to be back sooner rather than later but will keep you posted! email us with any requests.

so after a long week away we are back and excited to unveil some new stuff (the shop is feeling pretty empty right now!) we will be closed during the day on monday (july 4) but will open the doors in the evening for an open house. stop by anytime after 7pm to check out the new arrivals and have a drink. until then here is a little preview of some of the pieces we picked up...

a quick update...

on our latest trip we headed east for a 4 day adventure through the prairies. we spent insane amounts of time driving across the never ending landscape and loved every minute of it. we covered 2,600 kilometers and along the way found abandoned farm houses, flooded fields, hidden messages, amazing skies, new friends, and most importantly lots of new items for our spring pop-up shop (details tba). for now here are some of our favourite shots from the road...

this junkyard is in central alberta near red deer. it would take weeks to go through and see everything - it goes for miles. there are buildings, containers and buses full of stuff. we'll go back when there is less snow.

industrial drafting stool and office chair. reunited for the time being. found in two different places. manufactured in the same factory, in the same year (1952), just a few months apart.

in 1958 a family deserted their home leaving all or most of their belongings behind. clothing, books, furniture and tools were all left in place. we found lots of inspiration and some beautiful pieces inside.

hard to believe it's been a month since we packed up the pop-up shop. we miss gastown!

since then we've been on the lookout for objects and materials for our next sale. it's planned for may or june in vancouver...but location and more details are to come...

we're really excited because we've already found some really great pieces - industrial lighting, furniture & some unusual objects

hey all,
as promised, we are having another party this weekend to celebrate the season and to launch our new arrivals. come join us for a drink and some holiday cheer as we re-invent the space with new pieces.
there are also some other great designers showing at 206 carrall that definitely deserve to be checked out, so stop on by anytime between 5 and 11 (we will be here all day but will start opening the wine around 5!). if you can't make it saturday, we will still be open until the 28th so come check us out before we are gone...

thanks everyone for coming to the opening @ 206 carrall gallery last Friday. what a great night!

we have been overwhelmed with the positive response and are loving our temporary home in gastown.

we are here until december 28th and are planning to install many more objects and antiques over the next couple of weeks.
